ASBAS – Cyber Security

This was also a month during which we welcomed new advisors Nyree Slatter, Sarah Giannikouris, Gary Leigh and Emma Crowthers to our list of experts available for 1:1 sessions. They bring a wealth of knowledge from creative copywriting, on-page SEO and financial systems to cyber-security for small businesses.

Speaking of cyber security, we have secured our last few partners for our upcoming cyber-security offering in 2020, and we plan to open our "Pathway to the Essential 8" program to assist small business in becoming compliant with the national standards on online security and data privacy. This is especially important, given the amount of government and defence investment about to be delivered in the Territory from 2020 onwards.

As we come to the end of 2019, it's that time when, rather than slowing down, we get busy planning for 2020. And we'll be starting the new year with a refreshed series of workshops and webinars to help Territory businesses get the digital tools and skills they need to succeed. In mid-to-late January this will include a "Starter Pack" series for new businesses seeking to choose the right tools to get started, a new set of Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn upskilling workshops plus a weekly "Lunch & Learn" series that we're taking to Berrimah, Darwin City and Palmerston City. We're renewing our commitment to be active in Katherine and Alice Springs directly, and increasing our footprint in remote locations via webinars and video conference-delivered 1:1 sessions with our advisors.

Expect to see a lot of new faces and new offerings in 2020.
